Welcome to my Friends of Middleton Tower Blog.
This is the first time I have ever done anything like this so please bear with me if things go a bit slow at first.

My family took me there in 1957 & 58. I remember entering the talent competition. Most of the entrants got a huge cheer from the crowd when they said they were from Liverpool. I came from Newcastle. Not a titter!

Entertainers included chap called Sandy Lane (called Gravel Path by the others.) Biggest attraction was The Terry Hawk Trio playing what must have Buddy Holly songs - new wave in 58!
